Comedy Hit Live’s “1 Millionth” episode!
Check out our “1 Millionth” episode of Comedy Hit Live, the Arrested Development of the webseries industry. With a real set, multiple cameras, no script, no ADD style editing, a fake authority on issues, and raw uncensored conversation, Comedy Hit Live is one of the best webseries that people haven’t found. YET.
In a world of cats jumping into shit, and highschool kids vlogging ADD style rant segments about their mundane lives, Comedy Hit Live is the anti youtube series that is looking for you. It is time to change the course of internet video and bring it back to what it supposed to be, which is the support of out of the box series. The webseries industry itself has become a mirror of the old industry with the formation of web networks that support series based on numbers, and great ideas that are watered down to appease mass audiences.
When we record Comedy Hit Live episodes, we pride ourselves in the fact that it’s all improv, and we don’t take anything seriously. We had pitched this series time and again to the powers that be at these “networks” and to other comedy website brands and met with a lack of vision. Then they always follow us on social media to keep tabs on our project that they could easily have. The response that we received back from outlets was that the audience is perceived as stupid so that the series should be watered down. The notes are always as follows: people prefer green screen, people enjoy jump cuts in edits through conversation to appease their ADD, and finally, you cannot have a webseries talk show that isn’t dedicated to a main subject matter (like Tech ETC). How many series can you have covering industry topics, without eating up each other’s audience?
Yet, Goggle who owns Youtube is looking for expanded series that mirror productions you see on TV and thus are throwing money behind series to better produce them beyond the cookie cutter webseries. To be profitable, Youtube needs half hour series, dramas, and talk shows with high production value at the same costs of their current top series. The “Youtube stars” of the present will have to evolve and conform their shows to longer form fair like we do with Comedy Hit Live in order to survive.
So this is an open invite for everyone who values non conformity to get on board a series early. We take pride in producing the anti-style youtube webseries and we need your support in taking the web industry back by an inch. Please re-blog, watch and follow, our shit, and thanks for your support.
Sincerely,
Scott Kushman & Co.
